My name is Aniya Taneja and I'm a 17-year-old student at North Reading High School. Despite my love for lilies and spending my time in nature, I severely lack a green thumb. However, I make up for that in my other hobbies like baking, coding, tennis, and, of course, drawing.
My dad, also a fantastic hobbyist in art, was my biggest inspiration and influence growing up. My first piece using acrylic paints was done as a first-grade book project with his help. After that, my middle school art teacher, Ms. Jessie O'Brien, introduced me to the world of realism using graphite and, later, colored pencil. These became my favorite mediums, allowing me to let my patient and perfectionist side free.
In addition to visual arts, I also let my creativity flow in baking and coding. For example, this portfolio was made from the HTML, CSS, and Bootstrapping I learned in my freshman Web Design class. I hope to always be able to continue my artistic creativity, whether through classes or on my own, in order to always have some form of art to escape to.
